The Finance Commission held a welcome ceremony to officially welcome the newly appointed Chairperson, Mrs. N. R. Anees, and the newly appointed members, Mrs. J. M. C. J. Wijetunga and Mr. K. Karunaharan. The event was attended by Mr. Sumith Abeysinghe, former Chairman of the Finance Commission, Mr. A. T. M. U. D. B. Tennakoon, Secretary of the Finance Commission, Mr. Naleen Ossen, former appointed member, some senior officials of the public service, and officers of the Finance Commission. At the ceremony, the new Chairperson and members were warmly welcomed and extended the Commission’s best wishes as they assumed their new responsibilities. It also reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to working together to fulfill its mandate of promoting balanced regional development and serving the people of Sri Lanka.
