The meeting on Development Plan of the Uva Province was held on 15th of February 2016 at the auditorium of the Finance Commission under the chairmanship of Chairman of the Finance Commission. This is the first review meeting of provincial Annual Development Plans in the year of 2016. The Chief Secretary of Uva province, Secretaries of Provincial Ministries, Deputy Chief Secretaries, Assistant Directors and relevant officers of the Finance Commission were participated in at this meeting.
Certain aspects related to Development Plan were discussed in the meeting. They mainly include the development projects to be implemented in the province during 2016, increase in fund allocations to reduce provincial poverty, minimizing inter and intra provincial social and economic disparities and adherence of the provincial development plan to the guide lines of the Finance Commission and government policy.
