President Maithripala Sirisena appointed new members on the recommendation of the Constitutional Council to the Finance Commission.
The member Mr. Uditha Harilal Palihakkara appointed as the Chairman of the Finance Commission while Secretary to the Treasury Dr. R. H. S. Samaratunga and Central Bank Governor Mr. Arjun Mahendran are members of this commission in their official capacity. Mr. Velupillai Kanagasabapathy and Prof. M.M. Zafrullah are among the members.
