Meeting on ADB Results Based Loan (RBL) for Strengthening Integrated Health Care and Governance for Universal Health Coverage Program- US$ 100 million for the Health Sector, 2025 to 2030

A meeting chaired by the Chairman of the Finance Commission with participation of the Secretary of the Finance Commission, a team representing the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Provincial Chief Secretaries, Deputy Chief Secretaries of Planning and Finance, Provincial Health Secretaries, Provincial Directors of Health, officials of the Treasury, Department of Census and Statistics and Finance Commission was held on the above Program on 28^th of February 2025 at the Finance Commission. Under the above Program, US$ 100 million will be funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to support Secondary Health Care Sector of Sri Lanka, which intends to provide facilities for approximately 75 Base Hospitals of Grade A and B, out of 82 Base Hospitals which are managed under the Provincial Councils. As Provincial Councils are expected to play the major role on the implementation of the said Program, a detailed discussion was held on financing modalities, Disbursement Link Indicators, implementation arrangements etc. at this meeting.
