Mr. A.T.M.U.D.B Tennakoon           Secretary     sec

Mr. Tennakoon has obtained his Bachelor Degree with a Second Class Upper Division from the University of Kelaniya and Masters Degree in Rural Development from the University of East Anglia, UK. He is a Special Grade Officer of the Sri Lanka Planning Service.  He joined the public service as an Assistant Director in the year 1994 and attached to the Integrated Rural Development Project in Kegalle District. Subsequently, he was appointed as an Assistant Director of the Regional Development Division in the Ministry of plan implementation. From 2001 to 2004 he worked in the Uva Provincial Council. In the year 2004 he was transferred to the Finance Commission and was  appointed as a Deputy Director of the Finance Commission and promoted to the Director. In 2015 he joined the Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs in the capacity of Additional Secretary and served there till 31 August, 2016. He assumed duties as the Secretary of the Finance Commission on 01 September 2016.


Mr. V.Mahendrarajah                      Director (Policy and Research) director

Mr. Mahendrarajah obtained his first Degree in Economics from University of Jaffna in 1989 and completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sub National Level Development and Planning at the University of Colombo in 1998. He also obtained his Master’s Degree MBA from AIT, Thailand in the field of International Business Management in 2001.
Mr. Mahendrarajah recruited in Public Service in 1990 as Plan Implementation Officer in North East Provincial Council. He joined Sri Lanka Planning Service in 1994 through open competitive exam and started his profession as Assistant Director and then Deputy Director at External Resources Department under the Ministry of Finance and Planning. Then he was appointed as Deputy Chief Secretary – Planning at Eastern Provincial Council in 2008 and served in this position till 2018 in Eastern Provincial Council. He also has hold the Position as Director at Presidential Task Force Office for Northern and Eastern Development at Presidential Secretariat.
In addition, He performed positions Expert on Regional Planning, Project Coordinator, National Programme Coordinator, and Deputy Project Manager full time and part time basis in Special Projects implemented by government with financing by ADB, GIZ and UNDP.
  


Mr.S.M.R.S.Bandara                      Director (Planning) director

Mr. Bandara holds a Master of Science Degree in Macro Economics and Development Economics, Hiroshoma University, Japan, PG Dip in Development Studies and Public Policy, Open University of Sri Lanka and PG Dip in Education, University of Colombo. He obtained BA Degree with a Second Class Lower Division Pass from the University of Peradeniya. He counts more than 21 years of experience in the public sector starting his career as a school teacher in the North Western Province in 1996. He joined then the Ministry of North West Region Development as an Assistant Director (SLPS) in 2002. Subsequently, he worked for ministries of Regional Infrastructure Development, Reginal Development, Nation Building and Economic Development. In 2014, he was appointed as Director (Livelihood Development) of the Department of Divineguma Development. In Oct. 2016, he assumed duties as the Director (Policy Research and Publications) of the Finance Commission of Sri Lanka.   


Mr. M.L.A. Chandradasa           Director 

MR.ChandradasaMr. Chandradasa has obtained a Bachelors Degree in Sociology from the University of Colombo and a Masters Degree in Public Administration (International) from the London Metropolitan University United Kingdom. Mr. Chandradasa records 19 years experience in the Finance Commission working in the capacity of a Research Officer and an Assistant Director as well as the Project Coordinator for the Education Sector Development Project funded by the World Bank.

Mr. Chandradasa is presently functioning as a Director of the Finance Commission.


Ms.S.N. Sanjeevanie                        Director Administration 

 directorMrs. Sanjeevanie has obtained a BA degree from University of Peradeniya in 2004 and a Masters degree in 2007. She joined the public service in 2006 as a Sri Lankan Administrative Service Officer.  


Ms.S.K. Kothalawala Cheif Accountant

Ms.T. G. Chandra Malanie          Assistant Director 

Ms. T. G. Chandra Malanie is an Agriculture Graduate from the University of Peradeniya (2002) and subsequently, she has graduated as a Bachelor of Law from the Open University of Sri Lanka (2009) and she is an Attorney-at-law. She also obtained her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Post Graduate Institute of Management in 2016.
Ms. Chandra Malanie joined the Public Service in 2005 as a Programme Assistant in the Southern Provincial Planning Secretariat. Later she could join the Sri Lanka Planning Service in 2008 through open competitive exam and started her profession as an Assistant Director in the Divisional Secretariat Matara. Thereafter, she has worked in the Department of Project Management and Monitoring (2011-2013), Department of Legal Affairs of the Ministry of Finance (2013-2015), Department of Project Management and Monitoring (2015-2017), Ministry of Development Assignments (2017-2018) as an Assistant Director.
 


Ms.Kalpani Ranasinghe                  Internal Auditor

ia   Ms. Ranasinghe obtained a B.B. Mgt (Accountancy) Special Degree   from the University of Kelaniya and a Master’s Degree in Economics from university of Kelaniya. She joined the Sri Lanka Accountants Service in 2008.


Mr. P.R. Nishantha Sujeewa           Assistant Director (Information Officer)

Mr. SumanapalaMr.Nishantha obtained a B.A. Special Degree (Economics) from the University of Kelaniya and a Master’s Degree in Economics from University of Kelaniya. He also possess a Diploma in Planning and Development from SLIDA. He has represented Sri Lanka in many international training programmers in relation to development and planning.

He joined the Public Services in 2000, as a Development officer after he joined the Sri Lankan Planning Services in 2009. During the last 15 years, he worked in the presidential Secretariat.


Mrs. Thiloka Abeysekera          Assistant Director

 web Ms.Thiloka has obtained a second class upper Division in Business Administration (special)   Degree in University of Sri Jayawardanapura and a Master’s Degree in Economics from  University of Kelaniya. She also possesses a postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) University of Sri Jayawardanapura. Mrs. Abeysekara has joined planning service in 2009 and has been serving in government  sector for last 15 years.


Ms.Erandi Gunasekara               Assistant Director

Ms. Erandi Gunasekara obtained a B.Sc. Business Administration (Special) Degree with Second Class Upper Division from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2011. She joined the Sri Lanka Planning Service in 2013.
